Description:
 With Hurricane season right around the corner, HandsOn Jacksonville wants to insure that families are as educated and equipped as they can be. In partnership with volunteers like you, HandsOn Jacksonville is inviting local camp programs to take part in a fun and educational Disaster Preparedness Program. Key Responsibilities: After a 30 minute on-site training, volunteers will read the story of Herman (a hermit crab) and the Hunt for a Disaster-Proof Shell to groups of elementary school aged students then discuss various aspects of the story. Volunteers will be equipped with activities to engage the kids, materials to distribute and a Disaster Kit for each child to take home.
