Description:
Project Leader Training is a free training offered to individuals and groups through HandsOn Jacksonville, Inc. This training is designed for community members who want to become engaged in positive community change through leadership. Our training prepares individuals to lead groups of volunteers in meaningful service projects developed in collaboration with HandsOn Jacksonville and members of the local non-profit community. The training itself runs 2-3 hours and covers the non-profit partners that HandsOn Jacksonville works with, selecting and/or designing projects, and how to recruit volunteers and manage projects using the ‘Hands On’ model and technology. Project Leaders are valued as a crucial component of HandsOn Jacksonville. Once Project Leaders are trained, they commit an average of 3-6 hours a month. Projects generally last between 2-3 hours plus an hour of administration.
